The Garden Guardians are a group devoted to prayer and stewardship at Our Lady of Tahoe. Combining spiritual reflection with hands-on stewardship, they tend the church’s beautiful grounds—lush flower beds, towering pines, and the tranquil remembrance path—while praying and meditating. Their work is a living devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the parish’s patroness, with each rose pruned or pathway cleared offered as an act of worship. Meeting weekly, often after Thursday Mass from mid-May through September, they recite the Rosary and draw inspiration from Scripture and nature’s beauty. Open to all, the Guardians cultivate both the earth and community spirit, ensuring the grounds remain a sacred space for worship and reflection. Through their labor and prayers, they honor God’s creation, fostering peace and fellowship amidst the stunning Sierra Nevada landscape.
